Reaching 10 years is no small achievement. Many start-ups never get the opportunity to celebrate a milestone like this, and we feel incredibly fortunate to be among those that do.
From our beginnings as a university spin-out, through a decade of developing our technology and working alongside the anaerobic digestion industry, to now embarking on an exciting new chapter in New Mexico, USA – there is a lot to look back on, and even more to look forward to.
Monday night, we had the opportunity to celebrate with some of the many people who have helped make that journey possible.
We were joined by current and former colleagues, clients, partners, investors, academics and friends of Carbogenics – bringing together people from across different chapters of our story. It was fantastic to reconnect, reflect on how far we’ve come and, most importantly, celebrate the people who have played a part along the way.
A special thank you to Professor Sean Smith for joining us and delivering a fantastic presentation during the evening, to Camila Jimenez Pol for joining our discussion with Ward Hendon, and to everyone who took the time to come and celebrate this milestone with us.
The anniversary also comes during a particularly special week for Carbogenics, as we’ve welcomed Ward Hendon of Dangerous Ventures and our US Chief of Staff, Sydney Lienemann, PhD, all the way from New Mexico.
As part of their visit, Ward and Sydney travelled to Strathendrick Biogas Ltd, courtesy of Robert Kennedy, where they had the opportunity to see an AD site first-hand, understand its day-to-day operations and gain further insight into the realities of anaerobic digestion as we continue developing Carbogenics’ presence in the US.
After 10 years, we’re proud of how far Carbogenics has come – but this milestone feels just as much about what comes next.
To everyone who has worked with us, supported us, invested in us, collaborated with us or championed Carbogenics over the past decade: thank you for being part of the journey.
🥂 Here’s to 10 years of Carbogenics – and to the next chapter.
