We’re proud to share that Carbogenics has been shortlisted for the Sustainability Category at the Scotland Business of the Year Awards 2026 🎉

Sustainability isn’t just part of what we do – it’s the foundation the company was built on.

From day one, our mission has been to transform difficult-to-recycle organic waste into high-value biochar solutions, supporting the transition to cleaner energy systems while tackling waste streams that would otherwise go unused. Through our CreChar® product, we’re helping anaerobic digestion operators improve performance, increase renewable gas output, and contribute to a more circular, low-carbon economy.

Beyond AD, we’re also exploring the application of our materials in wastewater treatment (WWT), Direct Air Capture (DAC), and orphan gas wells – expanding the role biochar can play in carbon removal and environmental remediation.

To be recognised alongside such innovative and impactful organisations is a huge honour, and a testament to the work our team continues to deliver.
Congratulations to all the other shortlisted companies – we’re looking forward to the awards ceremony!
